Fall Community Recycling Event


CHPH in conjunction with Calgary Community Standards is pleased to once again host a Recycling Cleanup. This is the perfect time to clean up your yard or garage of any of these items and keep them out of our landfills.

When: Sunday, September 25

Time: 9 am - 2 pm

Where: 60 Patterson Blvd SW


Layout of Services

Items we can accept for free disposal are:

Scrap Metal Electronics Disposable household items Compost materials Mattresses

Local mattress company Evrbed will be paying for the recycling of all mattresses at the Coach Hill-Patterson Heights Fall Recycling Event. Evrbed believes no mattress should end up in a landfill and supports mattress recycling initiatives as part of their evr-green commitment.


Items for a Fee: Car seats ($15 each, cash or etransfer only)

Items for Donation to Cerebral Palsy Assn. & Goodwill industries: Usable items such as household goods, bikes, clothes, smaller furniture, appliances & electronics .

Bottles and cans (Cerebral Palsy) Looking to volunteer? We need a team of folks willing to give 2-3 hours to help direct traffic and answer questions. Please email recycling@chph.ca for more information.


Please note, we cannot accept the following items:


  • Combustibles or explosive materials

  • Radioactive materials

  • Gasoline, diesel or propane products

  • Asbestos materials

  • Automotive batteries

  • Fluorescent light bulbs

  • Large appliances (refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves, washers, dryers, air conditioners) not drained of fluids or electrical components

  • Large pieces of furniture like couches (some exceptions can be made but be prepared that they may not accept your items.)


There is no recycling at this event. Paper, cardboard etc must go in your blue bins.


There is no shredding available at this event.
